Spend a delicious day at the beach in near Mill Bay, Vancouver Island B.C. with commercial fisherman Ficus Chan of Crab Bellingham (IG @crabbellingham), Chef Robin Kort of Swallow Tail Culinary Adventures, local chefs and seafood specialists learning and eating local clams.

CLAMMING 101 WITH FICUS CHAN
How to Dig for Clams Talk & Demo: Clam ID, Tools, Safety, then it’s time to dig some clams!

12:30 COOKING WITH CLAMS
Learn how to cook clams with tastings – Chef led cooking demonstration. Learn how to make dishes with different techniques from sashimi to smoking seafood.

  • Talk about purging, prep, cleaning clams etc.
  • Oyster tasting + other sea delicacies

In the afternoon, guests can cook their shellfish if they like or head home with their catch.

Guests must purchase their own shellfish licenses (day $6 or annual $22 tidal water fishing licenses)

Please remember to reserve your ferry to Victoria if you’re coming from Vancouver early as reservations can fill up on B.C. Ferries
