Crab is fattest and tastiest now, their shells harden and the water quality is crisp and clean at this time of year. So come out with our chef team to learn how to catch them at Belcarra picnic area in Port Moody, BC.
The chefs will start at the dock demonstrating how to cast for crab and we’ll see what we can catch, identifying different species, size and sex of each crab. Chef Chelseah will demonstrate how to safely handle crab, fishing licenses, the best bait to use and fishing techniques. Everyone can practice casting for crab, and then, we’ll head back to the fire pit and serve you a delicious crab lunch where the Chef Cheryl will pass on all her secrets for preparing and cooking Dungeness crab. Lunch will be an Asian influenced crab feast, served at the Belcarra picnic shelter.
